Re: Phono Sig...does psxr-2 make a big difference

Get a demo, but better power usually means a lower noise floor for starters.

Re: What did you listen to today!

Streamed the first three tracks of Neil Young's Tuscaloosa Live then immediately ordered it on vinyl.

Restoring factory settings You can also restore all configuration options to the initial default settings that were applied at the factory. NOTE: This operation is not reversible. To restore factory settings, disconnect mains power from the unit. Now re-connect mains power while holding down the Sta...

Re: Please give me your reviewson streamers

The differences are marginal. If you like the sound of the Cyrus and it has the features you need, a DAC/Pre upgrade might offer more bang for your buck.

That's because they were the real thing, weren't they?
How Rami Malek won an oscar for that caricature of a performance, I'll never know.

Yep, sadly they're pretty worthless. Music Magpie or charity shop I'm afraid.

Streamers are getting easier to use. There are several devices that will rip discs, apply metadata and then store it on the internal hard drive for you. The problem is they're not cheap.

Yep. There are second hand bargains to be had but it's always a stab in the dark. If you want to get it right first time, go and listen to a variety of speakers and narrow down a shortlist for home demo if at all possible.

Re: Roon and Cyrus

Agree why on earth spend money on Innuos, when there are cheaper alternatives. What should the benefits of Innuos be except spend more money? If I really had to spend that kind of money I would rather have a Roon Nuclues. John Darko would argue that it sounds better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Re: Roon and Cyrus

True, but how many of us keep any piece of Hi-fi kit for a decade? ;D

I learnt from owning a Cyrus streamer that if it works, don't update anything!

Re: Roon and Cyrus

Indeed. Innuos seem to have both the sound and the features I want. Don't really need the disc ripper myself but I can see the appeal. I'd like to see them do a model with a nice display for artwork instead. Auralic do that but you cant use it as a Roon core and I'm not a fan of the house sound.

Re: Roon and Cyrus

I'd be very surprised to see Roon endpoint functionality added to the old shoebox streamers. It would certainly be a boon for a now dated product. I love the sound of my Aurender and the app works really well but I'm considering moving to an Innuos Zennith purely for the Roon core feature. I like th...
