Be sure to tell us your findings, Steve. I think the fractal f1 rca i/cs are great.

Re: How do I get started with Digital Storage and Playback?

If it is ofany help at all, I have my music (flac files) on a 2tb hard drive connected to my raspberry pi with hifiberry hat, into my dac (spdif) and thus to my preamp. I use JRiver music centre installed on my pi. You could just as easily have JRiver on your pc and your files on a hdd connected the...

Frida

Watched this really good biopic about Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. http://www.fridakahlo.org/images/frida-kahlo-picture.jpg Frida is played by Salma Hayek and her husband by Alfred Molina. The great cast also includes Antonio Banderas, Geoffrey Rush (as Trotsky) and Edward Norton as one of the Rockef...

The Party

An excellent ensemble piece with great performances. The always good Timothy Spall, Kristin Scott Thomas, Emily Mortimer, Bruno Ganz.
Filmed in b/w all the action takes place in just a short time on one evening in one house. Best film I have seen this year.

Re: Steamers / Renderers what is worth checking out ?

A couple of guys at the Wam show were using raspberry pi3 b +. I2s wired directly in the dddac. They seemed very happy with the results and it sounded great to me.

Re: Hi Res (again)

It seems to me that a direct comparison of the same track in 16/44.1 wav, 24/96 flac, dfs 5.6Mhz, dfs 11.2 MHz. would help to see if you can tell the difference and decide if it is worth paying for.

AND YOU CAN! For FREE.

Re: The new Wigwam venue.

Missed the cu get-together in sunbeams room as I was babysitting some rooms. Had a great weekend, though. Some great systems (some too loud for me!). Loved the 80's Revox speakers in room 120.
Great to meet you sunbeam!

Wonderful, Paul.

They really sound great, and look perfect as if they were matched by Tannoy themselves.
