Re: 32 bit DAC and External Power Supply

It would probably be a good idea to post a link to what features it has. I did a search for "Breeze Audio 32 bit DAC" and nothing of any interest came back, so I couldn't find its spec with any ease.

Re: Cyrus MR3 issues

The remote may be broken - but read the manual, and then read it again, just in case.

Re: Cyrus MR3 issues

Mainly the RF remote! On mine, they had chosen a frequency range that is no longer used for that type of device, and it was very prone to interference, so range was poor. It also very regularly lost the association between remote and base unit, and resyncing every day or so was a pain, as the proced...

Re: Cyrus MR3 issues

It was essentially a good product, but undermined by some serious design flaws, sadly.

Re: Cyrus MR3 issues

The sockets will probably be 3mm banana - Cyrus used these just before they moved to BFA. You can still get plugs cheaply on Ebay, or expensively via an audio parts seller.

Re: Two sources into one set of speakers

Afraid not - you can't (or at least shouldn't try to) connect two amps to one set of speakers without a switch, to ensure that they cannot be electrically connected at the same time. Switching boxes aren't too expensive though. I doubt a true audiophile would consider using one, but I personally dou...

Re: mint atc scm40 2400

That seems about the right price currently - it's what I paid for mine (identical to your friend's) a few months ago. Must say I'm very pleased with them - they have a midrange like nothing I've owned before (having never previously owned any speakers costing more than a few hundred quid!).

Cyrus are wrong about their own product. You can run one zone without a power amp.

I feel that will be a good thing. So far your only contribution to this forum has been to write snarky comments about someone else. If you believe that you have been wronged, you should take it up via the proper channels that Ebay provide for the purpose.

Re: Broken X Power

I'm struggling to understand the nature of your complaint. You seem to be alleging that the originator of this thread sold an item to you. It was described as faulty, requiring repair and that no returns would be accepted, but you are disappointed that the item, when delivered, was faulty? I guess y...

How long is quite long, as a matter of interest? If they are a decent price I guess I could cut them down! If you think that's an option, please PM me a price and I'll get back to you. Thanks!

Re: Op-amp Tweaking

A large part of the decision to go with Apollon was based on the favourable feedback here! It seems to be widely held that the Apollon is a "copy" of the Nord, but as I understand it the only bit of each that doesn't come direct from Hypex are the input buffer boards, and in both cases the...

No - actually I only need them short. I think the current ones are 750mm, which is easily enough.

Haven't tried, to be honest. I can't think of any reason why there should be any difference with the short lengths I am using, though.

Re: Broken X Power

Is this a fair and honest description of this item on ebay? 'Listing for 1 x faulty Cyrus X Power stereo power amplifier (switchable to mono) in silver. Removed working and stored for a few months then failed to switch on when I set back up. Without PSXR flashes red after initial power on sequence ...
