Re: Has this happened to other CU members?
One bonus when my large floorstanders went was that visitors stopped putting their phones and car keys on top of the one just inside the door to the room.

Re: FS: Croft 7R, T+A Amp8, Quad 306
I’m surprised because I’ve never had a problem and it’s the fourth down the page if I google ‘t+a’ just now. Anyway, ta-hifi.de will do it. :) It’s a cracking amp. As are the others in their own way. Oh, this is the current Mk 2 model by the way, with the blue leds to match the updated DAC 8 DSD. Th...

You will also find help on the Naim forum. Plus some polarised opinions
. There is a lot of expertise there on Naim matters.

Re: Switching to Naim (Well nearly)
I made a similar jump to a Superuniti quite a long time ago, although I've moved on again since as Naim did not support Roon at that time. Naim (and some others) insist that WAV can yield better sound quality than FLAC. I haven't been able to distinguish that, plus WAV files can take up a lot more s...

I see you have Boenicke speakers. Just deciding if I need any exotic cable for a pair of W5SE that are landing with me soon.

Re: Recommendations for Streamer/DAC combo
Might the OP want preamp functionality now or at some future time? DSD compatibility/conversion plus Upsampling? Roon, MQA? Bluetooth / Airplay? Headphone output also? That would obviously affect choices. I have the Lindeman Musicbook 20 and it is very good, bearing in mind that it's a high quality ...

Re: Balanced versus Unbalanced
Just considering whether to try balanced connection between Lindemann Musicbook 20 and Lyngdorf SDA-2400 as it happens. Mind you, I've both read professional comments and been told that balanced doesn't necessarily get you the best sound on domestic hifi, no matter what the theory says. I was also j...

Re: I had a stream
Bluesound Vault 2 also worth looking at if 2TB storage is enough. That will rip/store/serve/stream and is Roon and MQA compatible. Bluesound doesn't use UPNP, rather it's own system based simply on any network shares it can find.

Re: Steamers / Renderers what is worth checking out ?
Don’t forget that the hardware spec for Roon will also be affected by how much the DSP, Conversion, Convolution etc etc are used and how many endpoints it’s all being done for at any one time. Much more info to be gained on technical matters by reading the Roon forum of course, though without the so...

Re: Steamers / Renderers what is worth checking out ?
I’m hoping to hear in the next few months that the Lindemann Musicbook series will get a Roon Ready update. They are certainly launching a more affordable Roon Ready Network endpoint under their Lime Tree brand. They are an under-appreciated brand in the UK.
