Re: Hifi made in Britain

I read the pfm posts, but I feel the whole question is pretty meaningless sins almost every maker uses parts, designs, and construction from out of the UK.
I don't think there's any such thing as British hifi any more.

Re: Repairs

I think some of you are too hard on Cyrus. You can't really expect a company to keep spares for items 10+ years old, nor to give away any commercial secrets by providing information on the innards** There must be a point at which it's cheaper for people to buy a replacement unit that spend a lot on ...

Maybe (he says hopefully) Cyrus are positioning themselves for a new range of really high end hifi...

Re: The future of this forum

I really don't think it matter what affiliations are in place, either by contributors or by the 'owner' so long as they're openly declared. It may in fact be a positive benefit to have hi-fi insiders contribute to the forum as they will presumably know a lot more about what's going on in the industr...

Re: Check this out.

It's probably good news - I suspect that being a relatively small company, Cyrus would find it difficult to put any major investment into developing new products.
As many have commented on C.U. the existing core products look ready for a complete revamp.
Best of luck Cyrus..

That's what I was told so I bought a 4B amp to replace my 2B, rather than adding a second 2B.
I'm very glad I did, that's definitely the way to do it..

Re: Please give me your reviews on streamers

with bubble is it much improved, in terms of functions? I find it a much more 'user-friendly' interface. For example Cadence only works in portrait mode, so it's limited as to what information can be seen on the screen. Cadence is very much a basic interface for use with Cyrus streamers only. Bubbl...

Re: Please give me your reviews on streamers

My initial foray into home streaming of locally ripped FLAC files was with a Cambridge NP30, and I would have been happy with that (around £400 I think it was). The sound was good, pretty much the same as playing CD's. Then my amp packed up, so I auditioned and bought a Cyrus system (XP/StreamX/PSX)...

"
That's because they were the real thing, weren't they?"

In that case, for me, that's the way to make such a film, rather than the 'RocketMan' approach

Re: Rocketman

Big difference between Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman seems to be that the songs in BR sound very close to the 'real thing' whereas on Rocketman they are interpretations (which I don't particularly like).

Re: Tomorrow

I will be voting too. In doing so I will try to select those who can best represent our interests for the time we are still in the EU, i.e the job of MEPs. While it's an opportunity to also express an opinion, it's important to consider the outcome of this election is not about Brexit - that is a m...

I wish you luck - I think you'll be dissappointed at how much you're offered, probably pennies per CD..

Re: Cyrus Three at Richer

"dropped soon" - Just as well - to my mind the Cyrus 3 wins the prize for the ugliest hifi unit on the market.
