Re: Advice on pricing - VABBG

I would advertise these separately. I think you are limiting your market.

Choice and taste is a wonderful thing in hi-fi. When I sell my Mono X, I would not want to sell them only to people who like Wilson Benesch.

This probably explains why Naim recommends changing the caps every ten years even if Naim rarely uses half-size boxes.

Re: Boris

With this in mind I see no other option but another general election as we get close to the crunch time.... I still don't think any Tory will vote for general election that they will lose. I do think MPs will vote against no deal. Is it possible that Boris will call an election just before 31st to ...

Re: Serious speaker help!

May i just gently chide against pretending to be interested in speakers at a dealer . it would not be right imho , if one misleads people then future service and demo`s may be out of the question :-[ I am afraid to admit I have done this a lot :-\ At Christmas I booked a demo of some power amps as ...

Re: Serious speaker help!

Even if I risk offending the many PMC owners here, I have spent a day listening to various PMC speakers at a dealer in Hull and then gone home and decided that the bass was great but where was the mid-range compared with my Wilson Benesch. I would consider going further up the Dali range if you like...

Apparently he is not stupid (he has a degree and has written a very well written book about Churchill) but we are about to find out if he is a good leader (filling the cabinet with people who agree with him was not a good start).

Re: Spending a pleasant afternoon with mates.

My DAC is probably better than Cyrus DACXP Sig and I have best power amps Cyrus have ever made. Of course CD is limited and my speakers might be better.

Re: Spending a pleasant afternoon with mates.

We listened to Rumours all the way through on vinyl, and I had a “hifi moment”. During “ go your own way” i realised the backing chorus of stevie, christine and Lindsay had individual mics. Until then I thought they shared a mic in the booth for this vocal chorus. Just rushed upstairs to see if I c...

Re: Hifi made in Britain

Surely what matters is if it is good hi-fi. If British based companies like Naim, Cyrus, B&W, Spendor, Wilson Benesch and Music First use screws manufactured in China, I am not worried if the products produced continue to be world beating. What worries me the most that hi-fi as we know it will b...

It is a pity that there are no DACs from Cyrus or Bel Canto in list. The Chord DACs tested are not the latest and greatest either.

Re: Mono X v Mono X300 Sigs

Last night I persuaded SWMBO to compare. First we tried Hey Now by London Grammar and guess what she preferred the Mono X! Then played Late Night by Foals and she admitted that the new amps sounded better.. For those who remember Screechy Vioilns topic we then tried some violin and then my wife said...
