Re: Nord Two SE ICE1200AS2

I would go for Nord One as 10-15% SQ can be a lot.

I think the sound will be very different to Mono X which is why I will probably go to MonoX300 or MonoX200Sig's in the next few years.

Re: Is the dac xp sig a massive upgrade?

Bel Canto Dacs do have a built in pre that you can bypass. As hifinut says a separate pre does sound better. For that budget you could get a DAC3VB for 500 (that is what I sold mine for) and a PRE3VB for 600 (ditto). I am asking 500 for my VBS if that helps. IMHO this was better than DACXP+ with PSX...

Re: Is the dac xp sig a massive upgrade?

I found the price to upgrade from DACP+ to DACXP Signature too big so went down the Bel Canto route.

After two years very happy with DAC3VB i found a 3.7 at a bargain price.

I would consider Chord DACs especially if you really need a USB connexion.

Take what you will from my experience I am sure more knowledgeable members here will take a more expe...

Re: Room Acoustic Treatment

Hi, Thanks for the advice and help. Thank you starwarsmike2422 for the offer to borrow your mike and also thanks to caine for the info on the book. I think I might start off with trying to get to grips with the book first. I think I can see the rabbit hole, but I'll have to put it on hold for a sho...

Re: Cyrus IIIi & PSX-R Upgrade Path Options - Help Please

I had a prevs2 with 2 smart powers and it did sound good with my B&W 602 S3s but I understand the sound is very different to a Cyrus III integrated amp. If you go further up Cyrus ladder, you would probably do better to invest in some better speakers.

Only thing I am not convinced by that GIK say is the idea of speakers against the wall if you have sound panels behind.

Re: Isoacoustics Gaia

6 Isoacoustics Pucks have arrived and are installed under my Wilson Benesch Arcs (stand mounters). To be more precise between stands and granite slabs. This makes the speakers feel a bit wobbly (not very reassuring but no kids or dogs in house). Hopefully these will result in less transmission to fl...

Google Chromecast Audio

This was on my birthday list but everyone in France seems to be sold out. Staff in Boulanger said that Google have stopped making them and had no plans to bring out a new model . I found one on ebay so this is likely to be my Christmas present. If you don't currently have a streamer, buy one as quic...
