Re: Lost bass on CD sig

If you have a Cyrus DAC, first try a factory reset on the DAC. Restoring factory settings You can also restore all configuration options to the initial default settings that were applied at the factory. NOTE: This operation is not reversible. To restore factory settings, disconnect mains power from ...

Re: DacXP Signature Problem

An electronics designer & engineer told me that the Cyrus half-size box does impose compromises on the choice of components which can be physically accommodated in the case. This probably explains why Naim recommends changing the caps every ten years even if Naim rarely uses half-size boxes. It...

Re: DacXP Signature Problem

It's been many years since I've been involved in the design / repair of hi-fi kit so bear with me. Any piece of circuitry can only manage the incoming voltage / current / power it draws to maximise what it is trying to deliver. Nothing in the internal chip or transistor design can improve the qualit...

Re: Formula 1

I watched cricket, Jan watched tennis and we recorded the F1. Luckily no-one spoiled it so we watched the race in the evening. It was brilliant, wasn't it?

Re: Low volume & distortion problem

I would do a factory reset - how to do that will be in the manual If you cannot find it let me know the model number of the streamer and I'll look it up for you.

Re: MONO X 300 Clicking

Can you give them a good run in period to see if that helps? with new amps I put the speakers face to face, reverse the polarity (reduces the sound level), turn them up and go out. I know it sounds silly but the caps etc. do benefit from running in and the capacitor power retention is the only thing...

Re: MONO X 300 Clicking

I cannot think of anything obvious. The click is normal (at least on the 200 / 30 sigs range), but mine are pretty much equal.

First swop the speakers over between the speakers just to check its not a speaker problem.

The Cyrus guys do get back to you pretty quickly though
