If you can post more (and higher resolution) photos it would be useful thanks. Speaker isolation and placement is very important... 8)

Re: Boris

My question was (slightly) rhetorical however I think most people have had enough of air-brushed Blair/Cameron clones so I think his down to earth character will actually win him much support from the public. His policies are obviously hugely divisive so we'll wait to see if he makes in into 2020 st...

Re: Formula 1

More generally, on the season so far, some interesting stuff is happening. Haas and sauber ( with Ferrari engine), Williams and Racing point ( mercedes engine) seem to be doing much worse than you expect them to do with those engines - is that because the spec of their engines is further behind the...

Anyone catch the British F1 GP? (I know many were watching the Tennis or Cricket instead) I watched live on Ch4 and it was easily the best British F1 race I can remember for decades 8) In case you missed the Leclerc vs Max battle: https://youtu.be/RmvZyC6s_Wk I wonder whether there is more dicing t...

Re: Muse live

It wasn't quiet.. When I tried to say something to my wife she couldn't hear what I was saying (well that's her excuse anyway). For those who love Genesis with Peter Gabriel, Muse is a bit modern I know but WE really enjoyed it. Sounds good. PA technology mean sound quality can often be much better...

Re: Muse live

I've seen Muse live 3 times and they are an absolute tour-de-force power trio. Matt must be one of the most talented musicians in popular music, amazing guitarist, pianist and singer... makes you sick really ;D Regarding sound levels - noise laws now, in the UK at least, mean that many outdoor shows...

I would be sad to see this forum go as it has been so much part of my hi-fi journey over the last twelve years.

Agree - the question is do you enjoy running the forum?

Mark Kermode was raving about the film and gave it a huge thumbs up. I'll try and catch it on the small screen (but big sound) system in due course

Re: Speaker Isolation - pretty amazing results..

Update. Things are going well with the speaker isolation. In addition to the direct benefits already described the in-direct benefit is that it's a lot easier to move the speakers around generally and so play with positioning and fine tuning 8) Recently I also acquired a couple of IanMac filters fro...
