Re: Stereo 200 turning off at volume, more power? x300 sig?

My thoughts in addition to the excellent advice above. - generally SPL readings are discussed when 1m from the speakers, something to check. If you want 115dB when standing 9m away that's a different ball game! - headphones can sound very loud but you won't get that 'umpf' feeling in you bones as yo...

Chris - yes I've seen a few of Del Toro's films so had high hopes for this one.

Shape of Water

Mmmmmmmm Saw this over the Easter weekend and TBH both me and missus were not very impressed. It's all very nicely made with and had a good soundtrack but it was just one of those where it seemed less than the sum of it's parts. The completely predictable plot was the nail in the coffin. Usually qui...

Re: Piano

Always wanted to learn as a child. Was even offered a free piano by a family acquaintance but Dad said 'no way'. Still regret not learning 55 years later. Much too old to start now I think. I'll be moving to part-time working from the beginning of April and learning to play both the guitar I've had...

Re: Time dilation

Yep it's a graph that encapsulates both special and general relativity time dilation for the case of orbiting satellites.... The Smiths - There is a light that never goes out

I'll have to admit I was never a Smiths fan in the 80's or 90's and then one day it hit me.... pure genius

Re: Piano

Hey zippy All I can say is from experience 55 is not at all too late to learn the piano, I started in my 40s and I hear people in their 70s starting to learn a musical instrument. If you said your goal was to run the 100m in less than 10seconds that would be different! In fact middle age is often a ...

Cyrus has 5in cone compared with Wharfedale 4in. The cabinet volume seems to be much bigger too.

Yep looks like the same bass driver as the Diamond 220, not the 210 ;)
