Cyrus PSX-R conversion to 110v

Postby jorsan » Sat Nov 24, 2018 7:36 pm

Hi,
I Just bought a PSX-R unit that was designed to be used in Europe so is a 230v unit. Would like to know how to convert it to 115v. Thanks in advance for your help

It may be best to speak to Cyrus directly. I've looked at this before, and from (very vague) memory I think it may require a replacement transformer, at least on the later ones. This may involve the standard service charge - but you really would need to ask Cyrus about that.

Please let us know what you find.

The Cyrus website clearly states that they do not offer a change of voltage service. Go to Support>Servicing & Upgrading>FAQ's.

You could use a step-up transformer. Hard to say what power rating. The manual says it draws 227W with an X-Power so you should probably get one rated at 300W minimum.
