moved my listening room

Postby alancyrus8 » Wed Feb 07, 2018 5:24 pm

I've moved my entire Cyrus system into my larger front room, was really worried that it would alter the sound. My large fish tank was making too much noise so either that went or the music system, as the hi fi is a lot lighter that the tank it was no contest. I did have to buy more Tellurium Q black speaker cables as my originals weren't long enough, mark 2 versions as mark 1's no longer available and I must report a massive success. Is it the room or the cables I don't know but I'm very glad I made the move, sound has improved in every area speakers have room to breathe and fill the room and the music is even more enjoyable.

I'm pretty sure its going to be the room. Those VA's are large speakers and need space to breathe. Great news you've got even more out of your system for so little effort.

I have had the same Hifi for a quite a few years, and moved a few times. It defnately sounded best in my last house a converted chapel. My current property is a more family than hifi friendly. I know the best hifi upgrade for me is to get a bigger property. I’ve not seen one come up in these forums yet, but I live in hope!
