Chord Electronics SPM1050

Postby Fanthorpes HiFi » Wed Feb 24, 2016 1:29 pm

Afternoon all,

I've been playing around with our demo SPM1050 in store & although i know i like it & that it's very good... I have just been reminded it is brilliant! Fast, clean, dynamic, detailed. Atype of sound that kind of leads on from Cyrus mono's, imo.

I know a lot of people are using the DAC's but what are your views on the amps?

I had one of these in my system for a short while and I was impressed.  Very clean and powerful sound.  It was particularly good with my classical music (good instrument separation), which made it of interest to me.

I was close to buying it (used) but the price was still high relative to my final choice.

I've not had the opportunity to listen to other Chord amps in my system but, like others, I like my Chord DAC.
