That seems about the right price currently - it's what I paid for mine (identical to your friend's) a few months ago. Must say I'm very pleased with them - they have a midrange like nothing I've owned before (having never previously owned any speakers costing more than a few hundred quid!).

I do Phil, very pleased with them. Looks like a good price too. The bass and mid-range are fantastic but they can be very bright on some music. TBH I suspect the Cyrus Sig Pre /Dac to be the problem.

The nice thing about these are that they are sealed units and so can be pushed right back to the rear wall.
