Kudos Super 10A Speakers

Postby Lancashirelad » Wed May 01, 2019 10:41 am

Have any present or former Cyrus owners auditioned/owned a pair of these speakers with Cyrus electronics?
Any feedback or info would be appreciated. I can't find a dealer who sells both brands to ask for an opinion.

Unfortunately I've not heard Kudos Super 10A with Cyrus.

However, they use the same tweeter and crossover as the Super 20A which I've heard in quite a few combinations. I imagine that the tendency for the speaker to be a little bright combined with the Cyrus slight tendency for forwardness might not be a good match. But that might appeal to some - after all, there are people very happy with Cyrus combined with Monitor Audios with metal drivers and I find that a bit too much, personally.

Many thanks for that. I agree about the Cyrus/MA combination being hard going so I suspect Kudos are also not for me.

While I've not listened to the Super 10's I did listen to the C2's into my 8XPDQx(+PSX-R) and thought they sounded great and overall just edged out the (completely different sounding) PMC Twenty.23s.

I ended up buying the C20's which are just below the Super 20's mentioned above. They have the same (or maybe the previous iteration of the) Seas Crescendo tweeter. I love the sound with my current Cyrus kit (StreamX Sig, DAC XP Sig + PSX-R, S200), so maybe worth a listen.
