Re: Cyrus n remote

Depending on which streamer you have and the Software version it's running it might not even be compatible.

What are you using it with?

Re: Kudos Super 10A Speakers

While I've not listened to the Super 10's I did listen to the C2's into my 8XPDQx(+PSX-R) and thought they sounded great and overall just edged out the (completely different sounding) PMC Twenty.23s. I ended up buying the C20's which are just below the Super 20's mentioned above. They have the same ...

Re: DACXP Sig drama

I've had this issue twice now, it's a very strange sound, no bass almost like the woofers have blown and the image is way way way, behind the speakers dead center. Power cycling helped remedy the situation a couple of times in the first instance, but soon after not even the factory reset resolved th...

Re: Sound nearly gone from DAC XP Sig

Thanks Joe, Just to update this thread, the DAC XP has been returned to Cyrus for a half price repair which I think is fair as it is 6 months out of warranty, however I'm very disappointed that it broke in the first place. I think this is the first bit of kit that I've had go wrong, apart from a bul...

YouTube HiFi Vlogs

I have never really been one to read blogs or watch vlogs, I occasionally read Sunbeams Musing when he links to them in his posts but that’s about it. However over the past year I’ve started following a few vloging musicians on YouTube. The other day I came across Paul McGowen’s (PS Audio) vlog via ...

Re: Sound nearly gone from DAC XP Sig

Wow, just checked the Cyrus site £300 flat fee for a repair! Pretty disappointing on a 2.5 year old bit of kit :'(

Re: Sound nearly gone from DAC XP Sig

Ian B, any update, have you spoken with Cyrus? I went to listen today and the annoying mute while changing the volume happened. I tried powering it on and off but it didn't fix it. Now tonight I've lost about 50% of the volume, max (0db) is comfortable listening :( I tried the factory reset to no av...

Re: Sound nearly gone from DAC XP Sig

This is a worry as mine did this last night for about 30 seconds, then resumed normal volume. ??? When I moved my system the other month I had another odd issue when it was first reconnected, whereby when I changed the volume it dropped the signal to a very low level (almost inaudible), and then res...

Re: Help, How to clean/ reset a Volume Pot?

Well a slight update, the issue doesn't actually seem to have gotten any worse, thank goodness. When I replaced the speaker leads, I did so fumbling around from atop the speakers, and I stuck positive cable into the gap under the string clip instead of through the hole, hence the near total lack of ...

Help, How to clean/ reset a Volume Pot?

Hi, Not Cyrus related, but I know there is a host of electronics knowledge in here. I've just bought a 90's Kenwood Mini System and the right channel was player quieter than the left. You can see this visually by the peak meter on the power amp. It's source independent and I've tried swapping the ap...
