The nucleus is good if you don’t want to faff about. But an i7 Intel NUC with all the ram you need and the hard drive for Roon and ability to deal with DSP, plus a fanless heat sink case like the nucleus has, can be had for around £600. Well compressed is not the term I would use but all digital music compared to pure analog is "missing" some of the music Reason why is a CD is created by sampling the source music at 44.1 kHz so some music is lost but the average ear can’t hear this at all https://electronics.howstuffworks...

The Power supply, case and cables are ready awaiting the delivery of the NMR card. Fedex have just asked me to pay the duty £19.70 of which £12 goes to Fedex!
