Re: Gossip

New products sounds interesting. As an owner of some of the signature boxes, I'm keen to know if Cyrus are going to bring out new products at this level, or go for the mass market (or both - which has traditionally been their product philosophy). If it was up to me, I'd home in on the niche ("...

Re: The future of this forum

"It’s why these days I tend to use the Cyrus Audio HQ for hi fi stuff."

but presumably not the Cyrus forum as there have been no posts for months/years. I gave up using that ages ago.
I won't use Facebook/Twitter/Whatever - I don't regard those as professional media.

Re: Streaming service for Streamline2

In my opinion there's nothing much to chose between the different services, so you may as well pick one that you like the look of (and that your system supports of course)
I happen to like (and use) Qobuz.
I doubt you can change the USB setup but maybe someone knows the answer to that.

Re: most played on your streamer?

OK - since I took out a Qobuz subscription I don't have any 'most played' because I only listen to anything once and then go on to the next.
I reckon that approach will keep me going for a good few years (40 million tracks is it?)

Re: DacXP Signature Problem

I'm really surprised that some of the above have said that their DACXP/Sig runs hot.
Mine has never got any more than mildly warm whatever I do.

Maybe that's because the PSXR takes a lot of the strain ? In that case the PSXR not only enhances the sound, but probably the longevity too?

Re: PM - Subscription

The PSXR's don't have to be visible of course - I had mine for a while tucked away behind the hifi unit where they occupied empty space instead of their own shelf.. You may need to get some ridiculously expensive extension cables though..

I'm not really a supporter but I thought he handled his first day in the Commons pretty well. Seems he can talk sense if he wants to.

Re: Hifi made in Britain

I read the pfm posts, but I feel the whole question is pretty meaningless sins almost every maker uses parts, designs, and construction from out of the UK.
I don't think there's any such thing as British hifi any more.

Re: Repairs

I think some of you are too hard on Cyrus. You can't really expect a company to keep spares for items 10+ years old, nor to give away any commercial secrets by providing information on the innards** There must be a point at which it's cheaper for people to buy a replacement unit that spend a lot on ...

Re: The future of this forum

I really don't think it matter what affiliations are in place, either by contributors or by the 'owner' so long as they're openly declared. It may in fact be a positive benefit to have hi-fi insiders contribute to the forum as they will presumably know a lot more about what's going on in the industr...

Re: Check this out.

It's probably good news - I suspect that being a relatively small company, Cyrus would find it difficult to put any major investment into developing new products.
As many have commented on C.U. the existing core products look ready for a complete revamp.
Best of luck Cyrus..

That's what I was told so I bought a 4B amp to replace my 2B, rather than adding a second 2B.
I'm very glad I did, that's definitely the way to do it..

Re: Please give me your reviews on streamers

with bubble is it much improved, in terms of functions? I find it a much more 'user-friendly' interface. For example Cadence only works in portrait mode, so it's limited as to what information can be seen on the screen. Cadence is very much a basic interface for use with Cyrus streamers only. Bubbl...
