Spending a pleasant afternoon with mates.

Spent a great afternoon today with Chris (callen24) and John (argustimewas) at John's eating pizzas, listening to lots of music and generally chewing the cud.

Happy Birthday John for a few weeks back and best wishes on your retirement.

Re: 10 years of CD8x

It sounds like it could be the laser but will probably be compounded by years of crud built up on the mechanism and general wear. I had the same type of problem, had the laser changed and mech cleaned and it lasted 6 months.

Sadly, I would suggest retirement.

Re: Cyrus IIIi & PSX-R Upgrade Path Options - Help Please

I had a Cyrus IIIi plus the PSX-R running a pair of Heybrook HB2's in the conservatory. I wanted to get into streaming so bought a Streamline 2 integrated amp that allowed me to upgrade the conservatory system (big time) and feed the stream into the main system. They are going for about £800 on ebay...

Re: Upgrade advice

Definitely no the psxr2 upgrade. it makes a slight difference but only on top end gear IMO. The psxr is perfectly adequate.

Re: Mains Lead

I bought surplus MCRU kits after a show and some extra plugs and sockets. Did the full system with screened cable of the correct length for £87.00.

Yorkshire Tea improved of course.

Re: Mains Lead

No, but the water will boil much quicker! In fact the lack of negative harmonics in the boiling process might actual be detrimental to the brewing process.

No, the Linn is a suspension deck so a clamp would put it out of alignment.
