Re: Formula 1

I watched cricket, Jan watched tennis and we recorded the F1. Luckily no-one spoiled it so we watched the race in the evening. It was brilliant, wasn't it?

Re: Low volume & distortion problem

I would do a factory reset - how to do that will be in the manual If you cannot find it let me know the model number of the streamer and I'll look it up for you.

Re: The future of this forum

My 10' penneth. First of all I would like to thank Robert for all the effort and work he has put in to ensure this forum has been such a success over the years. So many people have benefited your initiative. Thank you. The CU is a niche forum which I value but recognise might be coming to an end. It...

Re: MONO X 300 Clicking

Can you give them a good run in period to see if that helps? with new amps I put the speakers face to face, reverse the polarity (reduces the sound level), turn them up and go out. I know it sounds silly but the caps etc. do benefit from running in and the capacitor power retention is the only thing...

Re: MONO X 300 Clicking

I cannot think of anything obvious. The click is normal (at least on the 200 / 30 sigs range), but mine are pretty much equal.

First swop the speakers over between the speakers just to check its not a speaker problem.

The Cyrus guys do get back to you pretty quickly though

Re: Beautiful Simon Little Tri Arbour stand with solid oak top

Glad you got sorted Steve, I have had a Simon Little X-Arbour rack for a good few years. Description when I bought it of ebay. This rack was made for me by Simon Little Fine Furnishing (The Cyrus rack maker) It really is a beautiful piece of furniture and in as new condition. It is in maple, has 5 s...

Re: Another DAC XP Sig problem

Reply back from Cyrus support - they do reply quickly. Its possible that the DAC XP is getting noisy power supplies and requires a service. How old is it? I bought it used from billyray off here in Dec 15, it was second hand then. It's working ok in current set up so I guess I'll see how things go f...

Re: Another DAC XP Sig problem

mojo, yes been thinking along those lines. I have powered everything off. The other DC input is through the Stello U3 connecting the PC, where it gets its power over the USB. The sound that does comes through is recognisable to the source, in small bursts, distorted and about 30 seconds apart Weird!

Re: Another DAC XP Sig problem

Its been working like that for years! You connect the CD to the digital input of the XP as any other source and output it as a digital output. Using the PC as a digital input through to the Streamline works fine. The way I have it now does seem a better solution but when I first set it up I didn't h...

Another DAC XP Sig problem

Weird problem with my system. Here is the email I sent to Cyrus. I have a problem with my Cyrus system – any suggestions? Main System – CD Sig, PC running jriver and Spotify, DAC XP Sig + psx-r2, 2 x mono x 200 sigs. Irrelevant stuff. Linn LP12 and ATC SM40’s. Conservatory system – Streamline 2 into...

Re: DACXP Sig drama

Just had another weirdo on mine. I feed the XP sig digital inputs to the Streamline 2 to drive the speakers in the conservatory through the digital out. It works fine on the PC streaming, spotify and jriver but fails from the CD. Just "broken" music streams coming out. It happened just aft...
