Re: Chesterfield half marathon - raising money for Mind

Well, it was great, until my left knee started playing up and got very sore last week. Minor setback and I'll soon be racking up the miles again.

Re: Chesterfield half marathon - raising money for Mind

It has been strapped for a week and although less sore I'll be keeping off any impact until I'm 100% convinced its okay.

Re: CD v Streamer

For me its not a case of out and out sound quality - I have vinyl for that. The convenience and different listening style that comes from streaming, especially with Tidal integrated means that I've not had a CDP for many years now and have no intention of ever going back to one.

Re: horn mummy speakers

If you're into horns then there's plenty of choice at the moment. Terrible gushing review at hifi pig - no technical info whatsoever which is kind of important with horns, especially around how the crossover is handled. Not even dimension measurements! Honestly what is the value of that kind of revi...

Re: A CU project for Scalford 2018?

Ha ha, I predicted Scalford would end up full of Linn and Cyrus systems and as a result lose its original appeal ;)

Luckily you are 0.0000000000000000001% of the target market and will absolutely have no influence on Tidals library choices.

Re: Resisting , CD is not dead , neither is SACD

cd is not dead because people sometimes have these experinces as on cu`er has written . "Ok. Complete U turn. (But it is a game of two halves). First impressions, no bass, toppy, not as good as Amarra 4. Now this is an ex dem model so it never occurred to me that it would 'settle in'. It did. ...

Re: Jehovah's Witnesses extremists?

I'm pretty tolerant of organised religion up to the point that I don't think it should have anything to do with government or education for that matter. The only group that I openly disapprove of are the Scientologists, not because it's made up (because aren't all religions by definition man made), ...
