Re: MONO X 300 Clicking

It’s always both as they are mono blocks. So both do same. Mine always make a thumping noise

That works!
Fantastic. Proper piece of furniture rather than just a rack.

Re: Beautiful Simon Little Tri Arbour stand with solid oak top

It’s still for sale. I’d expect no more than twenty in a decent box.

I’d forgotten about the advert to be honest as so busy!

Drop me a pm with your location etc?

Re: Beautiful Simon Little Tri Arbour stand with solid oak top

Couple more shots showing the value of the slide in shelf.
Open to offers in this as it needs a new home.
I used it also as a lamp table to great effect.

Re: I/C a pair of ian mac filters [SOLD]

Still not sure what these do.
I’d happily try then and pass them on if they don’t work or fit.
Let me know a price?

Cheers

Re: Long(ish) XLR cable. Anything I should know before I order?

That’s about right.
You can spend fortunes on foo but decent cable and connectors will do you fine.
Matters not, and at that length you won’t hear any difference if you paid 3 figures.

Boenicke W8 in ash

Just an early heads up for you lot that my Boenicke W8 in ash are for sale. Only for sale as I have replaced them with a set in oak! I’d not part with them otherwise. Opportunity arose to colour match with another forum regular’s set. Pics and a full advert to follow but I always like to give fellow...

Re: A last, long goodbye to Cyrus

I’m guessing you didn’t do a blind test? I have no doubt that the cables are well made, but you can’t improve on copper at the level it’s used in audio, and you can’t really improve a good shielding outer. You may have minuscule gains but I doubt any human could perceive it. The test... Ask the manu...

Re: A last, long goodbye to Cyrus

Ian said it best. Use short speaker runs and longer amp cables. The speaker wire itself is copper in a sheath that reduces interference. Any competent maker can do it. Any foo merchant can charge you more and lift a veil for £. The longer their website article the better the concept. If there was on...
