Does anyone cast the BTSPORT app to their TV

Postby callen24 » Fri Aug 11, 2017 2:04 pm

As i've been offered this quite cheaply i was wondering whether anyone casts this to chromecast, or apple tv.
I would cast from iphone or ipad.
Any gliches, or stuff i should be aware of?

I used to do this a couple of years ago and found it to be a bit clunky with occasional freezes and dropouts, but it's probably better now. I should say that my Samsung tablet suffers dropout on Spotify via Bluetooth as well, so it may have been an issue with my tablet rather than Chromecast. The other thing is that Chromecast only uses Google Chrome as a browser AFAIU, so don't know if that is an issue? I stopped doing it because I moved to the BT Youview box instead.

I do this all the time. Works just fine, but it is not the same picture quality as from the Sky HD box (I dropped BT Sport from Sky due to cost)
I use iPad mini to Apple TV
Pioneer LX55 + Denon Da-300USB ->
Rega RP3 with TTPSU + Musical Fidelity M1LPS -> Musical Fidelity M6i -> Trond "Ellam 2.5"
Musical Fidelity M1Clic ->

Cyrus Streamline v2 -> "Trond" Peerless HDS-PPB
