Help with Hi Res music

Postby drummerdave » Thu Jun 29, 2017 6:42 pm

My new Yamaha amp has a built in USB DAC which I have now connected to my laptop. There are lights on the front to denote whether it is receiving CD quality files or higher but I've been unable to successfully play Hi res files, even when a website says its Wav or Flac, only the first light works.

This is my first attempt at using a computer for music and its great to be able to play music I don't have on CD, but I really want to be able to play 96 and 192 files. Can anyone suggest a site where I can play free hi res music samples as I don't want to commit to paying for music if its not higher resolution. Thanks for any help.
