Hi all,

Does anyone know which is the most recent Cyrus preamp with a built-in phono stage? And how would its preamp section compare to those in recent pres or 8 series integrateds?

Many thanks,

J

I think it is all the way back to the original pre

Others might be able to comment directly (I never owned one) but legend would suggest that it was a bit 'bright'

Interestingly the new 'One' Integrated does have an MM input with associated internal magic.

What's wrong with the two box DACXP and Phono X Signature combination?

Angelface - just because you got a promotion doesn't mean you can go all lateral thinking on me now!!

Hi - a Dac XP and phono signature would probably sound fantastic, but I'm trying to keep the box count to a minimum, already have a dac and don't have quite enough budget...

A small phono stage like a rega fono mini takes little space. Have your considered this. Able to sit atop something else like a cd player.. A number of people seem to like the cyrus 8vs amp secondhand, as something available cheaply

The prevs2 is also very cheap s/h.

I am not sure that a passive is ideal with turntables unless you have a high output phono stage.
