I guess this leads to a second question. Joe has Olson, hifinut has Tacima, and I think Heretic Audio too (?), other posters have mentioned Isotek and PS Audio. Huge differences in price, but can performance be judged by this? What benefits are users getting? What’s the sweet spot, which mains block/ciomdotioner os the best bang for the buck?

yes the heretic audio is just a fancy mains block made of wood , not a conditioner . i would have a balanced mains unit for one system but i cant afford a decent one [ nva does make them but prefer a non sealed unit ]

i had isotek sigmas for many years which was excellent but needed the money for better speakers , and you cant have both !!!

While we're on the subject of mains regenerators, here's a bargain. Only two outputs though:

Michell Gyro Dec, SME IV, Ortofon Cadenza Black, Project Phono Box RS + Power Box.
Aurender N100H, Chord Hugo TT.
Luxman L-590AX II, PMC Fact 12.
