Cyrus announcement at Munich High End

Postby windom » Wed May 09, 2018 9:47 pm

Dear CUers - anyone else seen the tweets from Cyrus?
Latest one was for a press conference on Friday.
Any thoughts as to what they could reveal?
New 2 Box DacXP?

Which is exactly what Cyrus should be making if they are to survive. Cyrus's sweetspot has always been high mid-range. Aspirational perhaps for beginners but something to dream about. The new One will eventually replace the 6/8 series.
Most members are already committed to Cyrus or at least that is where they started out. Satisfying us is not going to make Cyrus enough money. Going more and more high-end is a dangerous game. I am worried about Bel Canto!

You are right, cyrus shouldn't aim for the high end. It should be the next step up from the mass brands, and should make you go - wow. When you take that step. Chromecast into the digital input of the One HD will sound good
cyrus stream X2, CDi, Oppo HA-1SE, IMFs, mfa Baby classicV2, NORD OneUP, VA Beethoven Baby Grand
ML binarystar digital, DenchXLR, RFCneptune RCA, VanDamme OFC spk cable. AG 500 ac regenerator and Townsend Seismic sink stand.
rega P3-24, psu, AT95e/paratrace, Clearaudio nano, Project RCM
