From my point of view this might be snake oil, but I don’t think anyone who hasn’t listened to it as a home demo can say its good/bad/poor or not worth the money.

I’m going to arrange for a home demo soon, will revert with comments. I’m going to demo Chord dave at same time.

Will be very interested to hear your thoughts. The Dave is a fantastic bit of kit, even if expensive. As I stated above, the M Scaler for me is 100% snake oil, always open to be proven wrong though!

Good.....and bad! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts. Chord said ( and demonstrated) that the Dave and M- Scaler have a different sound but the same ‘architecture’. The MS they said was designed to bring TT’s and Hugo’s up to DAVE standards. I didn’t think it did which brings me to the second point. After, in my case a 20 minute demo and in Attonine’s a much longer demo, what are we missing, given it was through headphones, that you expect to get with a home demo?

Upsampling doesn't have anything to do with trying to create Hi Res from CD quality files, as far as I understand it.

Its all about moving the digital filters way outside the data that's close to the hearing range isn't it? Upsample, apply the filters at the higher rate and then downsample again before turning to analogue, with the claim that this removes some of the nastier effects of filters just outside the audible range that you get with a non-upsampled data stream.
