Cyrus Lyric 09 Over Current

Postby emjcee » Thu Feb 21, 2019 8:32 am

Hi All,

I get an over current message and the system shuts down when i raise the volume to around -8db and over.

This is preventing me from using the AV Direct mode of the analogue inputs as it automatically sets the fixed volume to -6db.

I have connected a different pair of speakers with no success and tried different speaker cable again with no success. To confirm I have unplugged and plugged in the system in order to trigger the impedance match to the speakers (B&W 606)

Any ideas?

I would ask Pete Hillyard (Cyrus Support), support@cyrusaudio.com

Sounds like something is shorting as the current can't be that big if the volume is low for HT bypass.

Are you using single run of cables or biwiring?

Do you get the message if you connect a single speaker to left channel?

-6db is high volume as the volume runs from the lowest of - 80db lowest to 0 highest.
